WHO ARE WE?

We are what we choose to believe in, let’s not lie to ourselves.

“Above all, don’t lie to yourself.  The man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point that he cannot distinguish the truth within him, or around him, and so loses all respect for himself and others. And having no respect he ceases to love.” Fyodor Dostoevsky

We are unique individuals. We have hopes and dreams that deserve to be realized or at least pursued with the hope of being realized. So what happened to the children who dreamt big and believed in those sometimes traditional and most of the time fantastical dreams? What happened to believing in our dreams, and knowing they would come true when we got older?

Did we start believing in and are we relying on what we were and are told by well known Fortune 500 companies whose whole purpose in life is to make a profit? “Milk does a body good!” Are you sure?  Have you taken the time to do your own investigating?  Or are you just relying on these companies to be honest about what they are selling? These multinational companies are betting that we are too lazy to do your own investigating. They are in the business of making profit, not telling the truth. It is time to STOP accepting  their false claims and partial truths that  they spend millions and billions of dollars on through their sophisticated, flashy, and “Wow” inspiring slogans and campaigns!  Use your freedom of choice and the power of your dollars to make better and healthier choices. Stop buying foods that are highly deficient in nutrients, for example, anything that man has created and packaged with preservatives and artificial sweeteners,  just to name a few,  need to be avoided or limited from your diet.

Have you ever wondered why large companies are willing to pay Ivy League and highly educated public relations (PR), and marketing manager’s six figure salaries to design slogans and marketing campaigns? Does the Truth need to be hyped up and plastered on the cover of “Time” magazine or the “Wall Street Journal for us to believe in what they are saying?”  The truth does not need a team of PR representatives to create false and exciting claims about what a product does; the truth will sell itself by word of mouth; won’t it?  Please voice your thoughts and opinions.  More to follow on this very important topic.
